
Recently it was my sister's birthdy and she went to a nice restaurant in seattle, where she had Western Thali and Desert Thali. Main thali had Naan, carrot-aniseed soup, radish pickle, spiced filddle head, cauliflower gratin, spinach croquette. For appetizers they had spiced rice crispies (chiwada as we call it), eggplant fries with honey and seasalt.
Dessert Thali, had items like hotdate cake with banana icecream and butterscotch. caramel, mango lassi icecream, cashews with cumin seeds.
I found this concept of Thali being used for western servings very intersting and thought I'd share this with you all !
